The Beginning

The other night I watched an old movie called Ben-Hur. If you have never seen take a few hours and watch it. Its about this dude who’s friend sold him as a slave and his story back. Well there is a part in there where Ben is talking to one of the three kings that came to Jesus when He was born. And Ben said I can’t believe that He came to this earth for this death. And the king replied, it was for this beginning. Jesus died so we may live. And that the thing without Jesus dying for our sins. We would have no chance, we would all be headed for hell. But it’s by His stripes we are healed. Every hit, every drop of blood was for me and you. God made us in His image and He loves His children. So next time somebody talk about the cross. Remember it was not the end, it was the beginning. And He did it all for us. Thank You God!

The perfect question?

If you get a chance go check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtyAsiZWktY. It’s an awesome video that will make you smile. I saw an interview with them this morning. And an awesome thing he said was everyday when they wake up they ask God what they can do to make Him happy. What if we all did that? The world would be a better place. Maybe not the entire world, but the world that you know and see everyday. If we had that thought process everyday. Just think about the impact we would have on other people. We should wake up and tell God to have His way with our life and then just sit back and enjoy the ride. People often look to us as examples and when they look, what do they see? Do they see somebody who is living in the world and playing church on Sunday. Or do they see a light and a person who makes them want to know the love of Christ. So sometime today take time out and ask God what can you do for Him today. Because think of all that God has done for you.

Restart

Just watched a movie and it was about this dude who helped a lot of people, but he needed help himself. And I learned a little lesson from it. So many times we try to help other people when we need help ourselves. So what do we do to help ourselves? First, we need to find out where to get help. Instead of looking all over the world, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. A wise woman once told me that God helps those who help themselves. We have what we need to help us inside of all of us. GOD! God …

Have you ever described something you had and made it out to be more than it really was? For example, you’re a kid and you give this long elaborate description of what your bike looks like. But when people actually see it it’s nothing like what you described. But it may be like that in your head, but not in the eyes of the world. That’s why they now have a TV show called American Pickers. These guys travel across the US looking for those yards that are full of junk. I’m talking …

Just Say NO!

So i have figured out that you can't make everyone happy. And if you try you will go crazy and you will never be happy. In the past few weeks i have tried to do the right thing in my heart. I am on the board in Rutherford and when your in local politics, you always have a target on your back. But after the meeting the other night i told our water guy that i bet i made some people mad tonight. He asked me if it came from the heart, i said yes, he said then don't worry about it. The reason i say all this …
